Today I haven`t done anything interesting. We had a guest today from Texas university. She talked about their admission requirements and invited us to study there. I am a bit unhappy, because after graduation I would like to go abroad righ away. But university doesn`t give our diplomas immediately we have to work two years in order to get it. I finished today translating Episode 10 which Maya Meredova assigned to do. By the way, i am going to give presentation on Monday for POET. And tomorrow I will teach students of Bashkent. I am quite anxious because I have to teach whole class and I am not prepared yet. I wish I would have a nice lesson tomorrow.

Irish people say,
"A NEW BROOM SWEEPS CLEAN, BUT THE OLD BRUSH KNOWS ALL THE CORNERS"
I mean that "old brush" knows where to sweep. Young teachers make a lot of mistakes. It takes time to learn and to get necessary experience. Parents usually trust more to the old teachers than young ones.

How to gain experience as quick as possible? Teach,teach, and teach! Be courageous! Don't be afraid of hard topics!

Study the subject yourself, first, then practice it on your own, after that apply to your teaching. Gain your experience every day. I know a lot of teachers who reached the old age but haven't mastered enough experience to be excellent teachers. On the other hand I've met young teachers, even students who feel teaching as breathing and they do their best to breathe better.

Hello, everybody. I’m an English teacher from Ashgabat and teach at secondary school.
My students are from the 7-10th grades. I often start my lessons with a shot conversation. For this purpose I use proverbs and sayings. I’d like to start my blog with a Chinese proverb and would like to get your comments on it.

Experience is a comb which nature gives us when we are bald.

That’s just my case. I’m not young and have rich experience in teaching. Looking back I see how many things could have been done differently. Well, you cannot step in the same river twice. I try to enjoy my present. At present I’m studying modern technologies in IREX and want to become high professional teacher. The Internet gives us so many opportunities in teaching. At present we are learning WebQuests. That is something absolutely new from what I have ever studied about methods of teaching. Can you imagine a teacher without a piece of chalk in one hand and a duster in the other hand at the desk but a teacher sitting at the monitor of computer and in a quiet and polite voice conducting the lesson. All the students are captured with the lesson: they are working in pairs or in groups creating their presentations on the materials or theme they have never heard. Themselves! Without constant teacher’s directions and instructions!Everything is on the screen and the students are working independently. That’s not a dream. We are studying the WebQuest, a lesson focused on the materials from the Internet. The teacher plays the role of consultant and adviser.

All that is about teaching. The proverb isn’t only about work. It deals with a personal life experience. There are many things in my life which I would like to change if I could. I wonder if all the people think the same. I’d like to see a person who is satisfied with his or her life.
